Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using ThorDEX.

What is ThorDEX?

ThorDEX is a non-custodial swap interface that uses THORChain to enable cross-chain crypto swaps. You can swap BTC, ETH, USDT, and 20+ other assets without connecting a wallet.

How do I make a swap?

Select the tokens you want to swap, enter your destination address, and send the exact deposit amount shown. Your tokens will arrive at your destination address within 5–30 minutes.

Do I need to connect my wallet?

No. ThorDEX uses memoless transactions — swap instructions are encoded into the deposit amount. Just send from any wallet (Trust Wallet, Ledger, MetaMask, etc.).

What are the fees?

2% ThorDEX interface fee + THORChain network fee (typically $1–5). All fees are displayed in the quote before you confirm. No hidden charges.

Is it safe?

Yes. ThorDEX is fully non-custodial — we never touch your funds. Swaps execute directly on THORChain's decentralized validator network, audited by Trail of Bits and Halborn. No token approvals, no smart contract risk on your wallet.

Where are my funds?

Your funds move directly through THORChain. Track your transaction on THORChain Explorer. ThorDEX never holds your crypto.

What if my swap is stuck?

THORChain automatically refunds stuck transactions after approximately 72 hours. You can check swap status on the THORChain Explorer.

What wallets are supported?

Any wallet that can send crypto. Trust Wallet, MetaMask, Ledger, Trezor, Exodus, Coinbase Wallet, or even exchange withdrawals. No special wallet or dApp browser required.

Which tokens can I swap?

BTC, ETH, USDT (ERC-20 & TRC-20), USDC, SOL, XRP, DOGE, LTC, BCH, ATOM, AVAX, BNB, TRX, RUNE, LINK, AAVE, DAI, WBTC, and more.

Can I use ThorDEX on mobile?

Yes. ThorDEX is fully responsive and works on any mobile browser. You can also add it to your home screen as an app. QR codes are provided for easy mobile deposits.

Do you store my personal data?

No. We don't collect personal data, require registration, or use KYC. Transaction history is stored locally in your browser only.
